Subtitles of the Movie

In this movie, we are going to talk about the prerequisites for this advanced ColdFusion MX 7 course. My expectations of your knowledge base are as follows: that you understand HTML, that you have some web experience with static pages and also have done some dynamic page work. You're eager to learn, which I assume you are since you are taking this course. I do not assume you have Dreamweaver knowledge so if you are unfamiliar with the Dreamweaver interface don't be concerned about that I will have a short section on using that and we'll be using Dreamweaver through out the course. If that's something you are already familiar with you can probably skip the little Dreamweaver section of movies. I also assume you've used ColdFusion in the past. If you are unfamiliar with it I would suggest you go back and take the basic ColdFusion MX 7 course and then come back to this course once you understand those concepts. The topics that were covered in the basic course are as follows, basic tags, four different variables, and variable scopes, those being a local variable, query variable, form and URL variables. You can see I have form and URL variables listed twice there, very important. Functions and includes have worked with database driven site in the past. Understand basic SQL and also SQL using the CF query tag, looping statements, conditional statements, the CF form tag and I have a basic understanding of how forms work. We're going to expand the CF form tag, looking at Flash Forms in this course. So what I'm looking at are just the basic CF form using HTML as the format. So we will take these concepts listed here and we will expand upon them in this course. So those are the prerequisites for this course.
