Welcome to ColdFusion MX7 advanced, my name is Candyce Mairs and I'll be leading you through this course on some of the advanced features in ColdFusion MX7. ColdFusion is a cross platform server side application. My assumption is you are already familiar with concepts within ColdFusion, specifically those that were covered in the ColdFusion MX7 basic course that has been created previously. So this advanced course will take up right where that one ended. The assumption is that we will be using Dreamweaver as our development environment and strictly using Windows XP as the operating system. We will not cover the set up for a Mac environment, there are some clear distinctions. So I just want to state that up front. And we do have a topics movie that goes through all the different topics included in this course. ColdFusion is such a deep subject that even prior to creating this course it was a tough decision as to which topics were the most important. So what I did was expand upon the topics covered in the basics course and moved into many areas that you will find that you need to know about within ColdFusion. But we could certainly create two additionally courses with ColdFusion being as deep a programming language as it is. So let's move on, welcome to the course.
