I get asked quite often in classes who should I use as a web host? Who allows ColdFusion within their hosting plans and there are starting to be more and more of them out on the web but my resources page on my Cmairscreate.com website does have some hosting options on it. I'll show you a couple of areas. First of all there's the hosting page and godaddy on this page is a web host, you may have heard of them already. But they do allow ColdFusion. There is an additional fee, its very minimal to add ColdFusion to your website and it is something that you do need to add on so make sure that you realize that. Their basic plans, at least the last time I looked at them do not have ColdFusion automatically installed. Also anytime you use a web host for ColdFusion; make sure that you pay attention to any particular items, functions or tags that they do not allow you to use. They really don't stop you from using them but it may prevent you from actually being able to work with them. And there are some specific tags that a web host can consider a security risk, so they will turn those off and I've helped quite a few people on the forum groups for that exact reason. Where they didn't realize that their code is perfect but that feature is not allowed by the host. So godaddy is one option, the other option is on the ColdFusion page. I am from the Twin Cities and the twin Cities users group has a great website, they also have a ColdFusion hosting link on this website. So these are also web hosts that they do allow ColdFusion or provide ColdFusion as a web host. So those are the directions, I would suggest you go or just do a search for ColdFusion web host through Google. But those are the ones that I am aware of, a lot of businesses I work with, they all host their own. So it's only if you're looking for a web host out on the web that you would need these links. So those are the ones that I'm aware of. So those are some web hosting options for ColdFusion if you're looking for an outside source for hosting.
