Our last movie within this CFC section discusses restricting access to CFC's. There are many times when you want to restrict access, you do not necessarily want everybody to have access to it, so there are four attributes of the access attribute, or four values I should say of the access attribute for a CFC and those are public, private, package and remote and I have them listed here. You may want to read through them yourself instead of me reading them to you. Remote is only used if you're working with web services, Flash player or the browser and you want those to access a CFC method. Other then that you won't be using the remote value. So public, private and package are really the three that are used most often and like I said feel free to read through these. What I'm going to do is turn to CFC query access so you can see how that is used and what you do is add access to each individual method. Quite often you want the methods available to different things. So instead of the entire component you restrict it based on a method or individual method bases. So within your function tag you say what access you want to allow. So this one has package, this one done here has public and that allows you to work with them in different ways. So instead of taking the time here to go through each one I tried to make it very obvious, I think this feature is fairly easy to understand once you read through these. So I won't make you listen to me doing so. But it is a good idea to restrict access to your various functions as you create your CFC's and this is how you do so. I congratulate you on finishing up the CFC section, this was a long one, but there were so many concepts, I feel its really important to know all of them before you begin to work with CFC's.
