Citrix Access Gateway Advanced 4.5 Tutorials

Introduction & Overview / Topics Covered

Subtitles of the Movie

This is Citrix Access Gateway Advanced Edition 4.5 and in this video we're going to discuss the topics covered in this course. We'll start off with the prerequisites for installing the Access Server Software, both for administrative knowledge and on the hardware and networking side. We will go over how to install the Access Gateway Software and how to license that Access Gateway Software using the Licensing Console. We will then move on to discuss resources. We'll talk about web resources and file share resources. How to create them, how to administer them and how they are different from network resources. We'll also talk about scans; there are Continuous Scans and Input Analysis Scans. We'll talk about the role that both of them play in ensuring that only authorized users and authorized end devices have access to the Access Server Forum. We'll also talk about chaining scans so that you can use the output of one scan as the input for another and we'll talk about data sets. In this course, we will also discuss filters, both Continuous Filters and Access Filters and discuss the differences between the two and how they can be used hand and hand to ensure again complete authorized access and the proper machine and in point configuration for machine's accessing the network either through the Secure Access Client or through the Access Gateway Interface. We'll then talk about policies; we'll talk about how policies contain filters, how they are connection policies and access policies and what entities in the Access Gateway Console those two policies apply to. And then we'll move on to talk about Logon Points. How they're used, how to set them up, how to deploy them properly and how to verify that they are indeed deployed properly. And then we'll talk about Server Farm Configuration, how to manage the overall configuration of all the servers in the Access Gateway Forum. Talk about authentication profiles, how you can authenticate users using either Active Directory or LDAP or RADIUS or a combination of the three if you so desire. We'll talk about the Service Account Credentials and how you can modify those Service Account Credentials even after the software is installed. And some of the gotcha's and things to look out for when you change said Account Credentials for both the Service Accounts and the SQL Accounts. And then we'll talk about Presentation Servers, how to set up Presentation Servers Farms inside the Access Gateway Console. How to immigrate the Access Console with Presentation Servers Farms so that users only have to log in once to access published resources in your Presentation Server Farm. Talk about how to configure the web interface so that it can talk properly to the Access Gateway Implementation. We'll then cover some basic troubleshooting. We'll cover viewing Session Information and how you can in real time see what sessions are connected to what servers in your Access Server Farm and what people are doing with those sessions. We'll also talk about Event Logging which is more of a looking back type of troubleshooting so that you can see what users tried to do what, were they successful, were they not successful and why were they successful or not successful. At the very end we'll tie everything together with a lab. We will design and access gateway implementation from start to finish. We will show you how to set it up, how to administer it properly. How to move the information from one Access Server Farm into another and show you what the end users sees, every step along the way so that we can see what they get as we change the configuration and requirements inside the Access Gateway Console and that concludes our discussion of topics covered.
