In this lesson you will learn how to document the model. Right click the sheets branch in the project browser and select new sheet. In the select a title block dialog box, click OK to accept the default, E1 30x42 horizontal title block for the new sheet. The new sheet appears in the view window. Pick level one in the project browser under floor plans. Hold down the left mouse button and drag it into the sheet. Release the button and the outline of the view at scale with the title below it will appear. Move the cursor and click to place the view port into the level one floor plan on the sheet. The view port is too small on the page. Select floor plan level one in the project browser again and right click and select the properties. In the properties dialog for the floor plan, change the view scale to a quarter inch equals a foot. And click OK. Repeat this scale change for the west elevation. Right click on the view for properties. Change the view scale to a quarter inch and click OK. Again, repeat this scale change for section one. Right click the section one view, select properties and change the view scale to a quarter inch equals a foot. Note the new size of the floor plan in the sheet. Select the floor plan and click and drag it to move it into the sheet. Select and drag the west elevation view into the sheet and click a point to place in the upper right corner. In the same way, place the section one drawing on the sheet to the left of the elevation. Note the views will snap to alignment lines to aid in placement. Let's align the elevation view title with the title of the plan view. Zoom in over the plan view port so that you can see the left wall components clearly. Zoom so that you can see the windows in the left wall. Now place the cursor over the view port so that it's border gets highlighted and right click and pick activate view. This will allow you to change the model from the sheet view. Pick one of the windows in the left wall and then hold down the control key and pick the other one so that both windows are selected. Then use the type selector drop-down list to change their type to fixed 16 inch by 72 inch. Now pick the properties icon, this is the properties icon, to bring up the element properties dialog. Change the sill height for these two windows to one foot. You can simply type one and enter and Revit Building will fill in the foot mark. click OK to close element properties and right click and pick deactivate view. Then right click and select zoom to fit. Examine the elevation and section views to verify that the window changes have been made. Zoom back to fit and click on the default 3-D view button on the menu bar. This is the default 3-D button. This will open a southeast isometric view of the model. From the menu bar, select view, shading with edges. Then pick view orient southwest from the menu bar. Now pick view, orient, save view. click OK to accept the default name. Under sheets, double click the A101 on named sheet. Expand the 3-D views branch and click and drag the 3-D ortho one view onto the sheet. Then pick a point to locate it. Now click the properties icon and change the view scale to a quarter inch. And click OK. Drag it over to a better location.
