In this lesson we will examine the commercial template. From the file menu, select new project. Then pick the browse button. In the choose template dialog, select commercial default .rte. Click open and then click OK in the new project dialog. In the project browser, study the list of default floor plans. Then double click east from the elevations. Zoom in around the elevation symbols in the view. Note the location of the predefined levels in this template. In the project browser, note the list of predefined sheets. Then click the plus symbol next to families to expand the list categories. Scroll down and click the plus symbol next to structural columns, structural foundations, structural framing and walls. Under structural columns, expand W wide flange column. Under structural foundations, expand foundation slab pile cap rectangular and wall foundation. Under structural framing, expand W wide flange. And under walls, expand basic wall. Study the list of available components in this template. Scroll back up and double click level one to open that view.
