In this lesson you will adjust the Grid Lines for clarity in the project. You'll modify Endpoints and add gaps in Grid Lines where it will simplify the view. From the Menu Browser select Open. Then open the file RAC CPD 03-Adjust Grids. In the Drawing Area zoom in to the building and select Grid Line 7 then click the top lock to remove the Constraint, then adjust the Endpoint of the Grid Line by dragging it down closer to the edge of the building. Using the same method adjust Grid Lines 8 to 10. Remember to click the lock to remove the Constraint before adjusting the Endpoint. Next, adjust the horizontal Grid Lines D to G so that they are closer to the edge of the midsection of the building using the same method. Next, we will display some Grid Line Labels. Select Grid Line 2 and click in the box above the Grid Line. In the same way display the Labels for Grid Lines 3 to 6. Next, we will change some Width Types. While pressing Cntl, select Grids 4, 5, and 6, then from the Modify Grids tab, Element Panel, select the Type Selector drop-down and click Quarter-Inch Bubble Gap. This Grid Type allows a gap to be displayed in grid lines. Now, select Grid Line 6 and using the Cntl, adjust the top Endpoint of the Grid Line Gap so that it extends below the shorter wing of the building, then adjust the bottom Endpoint of the Grid Line Gap so that it extends above the longer wing of the building. Press Escape to see the result. Then using the same method adjust the top and bottom Endpoints of the Grid Line Gaps for Grid Lines 4 and 5. Press Escape, observe the results and close the file without saving it as that concludes this lesson.
