In this lesson you use the Imported dwg file to create Property Lines. You use the Tag Tool to label the Property Lines with Distance and Bearing information. Click the Menu Browser and select Open then from the left side of the Open dialog select Training Files and open Imperial, RAC CS 02, Property Lines. Now let's take a look at how to add Property Lines. In the Project Browser under Floor Plans double-click Site. Then click the Massing and Site tab and from the Modify Site Panel click Property Line. In the Create Property Line dialog select Create by sketching, then when the Create Properly Line Sketch tab appears, from the Draw Panel select the Pick Lines Tool. Then on the View Control Bar click the Model Graphics Style button and select Wireframe. Now select the four property lines as shown. The right line, the top line, the left line, and the bottom line. Now, from the Property Line Panel select Finish Property Line. Now let's take a look at how to tag property lines. Click the Annotate tab and from the Tag Panel click Tag by Category. Then on the Options Bar clear Leader. Then, select the midpoint of the North Property Line. There are no Tags loaded for Property Line Segments in this Project so in the dialog click Yes to load a Property Line Tag Family for use in this project. Then from the left side of the Open dialog select Training Files then open Imperial, Families, Property Line Tag. Then click to tag each of the four Property Lines, then press Escape to finish tagging. The Property Line Tag is very small. Change the View Scale to make the Tags easier to read. To do that, on the View Control Bar for Scale select 1 inch equals 40 feet. You can zoom in to read one of the Tags. Then, close the file without saving as that concludes this lesson.
