Subtitles of the Movie

In this lesson we will add a Text Note to a Floor Plan View. You can add Notes with or without leaders. You can also add or remove leaders from a Text Note after you place the text. From the Menu Browser select Open and open the file RAC AD 03-Text. Now, let's add a Text Note. With the 01-Entry Level Floor Plan View open zoom in to the Canopy area over the entrance on the left. Then click the Annotate tab and from the Text Panel click Text, then when the Place Text tab appears, from the Element Panel click the Type Selector and choose three thirty-seconds of an inch Arial. You can add Text Family types for different text sizes or styles such as italics, underline and so on. From the Leader Panel click Two Segments. Next, to add a Text Annotation at the Entrance Canopy zoom in closer to Grid Line C and click the curved line for the Canopy, then click above and to the left to specify the first Segment and then move horizontally to the left and click to specify the second Segment. Then in the Text Box enter Exterior Overhead Canopy period space See Structural Sheets for additional information/details. Then click Modify. Then pan over to the right, select the Text Bounding Box then select the left Endpoint and drag it to the right to make the box smaller and cause the Text to wrap. You can modify the size of the Text Bounding Box as required, and the text automatically wraps to fit in the Bounding Box. Next, we will add a leader pointing to the right. On the Leader Panel click Add Leader, Right, Straight, then drag the Endpoint of the new Leader to the curved line. Then clear the selection and close the file as that concludes this lesson.
