Subtitles of the Movie

Now its time to bring the moon to life, it looks like a big ball floating around in space and that's not quite the look we're going for, so now its time to get into some of the Special effects Operators available to us. So, let's see where is the moon? Here he is. I'm going to right click on the moon and I'm going to choose to Add an Operator. So I think I'm going to go to let's think Color Correction and I'm going to choose Color Shift. Now we get a Preview over here as to what's going to happen. The first thing I want to do is change the Hue of the moon so I'm going to go to Master Slider and move that over like so until I have a nice color that I'm happy with. I think that looks pretty good. I'm also going to go to the Saturation and bump that up pretty high and bump up the light that's pretty high as well. It gives me a nice Luminous feel to the moon. As you see when you go to Lightness you can really increase the Intensity of the moon when you're on a particular color, such as Red, Yellow and so on and once again this was done on the Master Control for the moon. I could have just chosen any other Color Channels individually to do this, but there really is no need because I have everything I want in that particular Operator. I'm even going to add a little bit of a Glow around the moon. It's not going to be too noticeable but I think it'll add just a little bit of that ethereal quality. So I'm going to right click on the moon, choose Operators, I'm going to go to Stylize and I'll choose Glow. I'm going to increase the Radius of that Glow, as you see we have a nice little Haze around it. Let me just turn that off so that you can see the difference. I'll go back to a Radius of nothing and take a look, we have no Glow around it, just a harsh edge. So once again I'm going to click and have a nice Glow. You can increase the strength of that Glow if you want to and you can really blow that out and you can increase the minimum Luminance as well. I think that looks just right for the moon Effect that we're going for here. We have a nice color that's bright, we have a Glow around it and it looks ready to be animated once we get there and it'll lift up into the sky like so. I do want to do one more thing with the moon, I want to increase the size of it a bit, so I'm going to go back to Transform and I'm going to click Proportional and increase the Scale, so it has a little more prominence in this scene and it looks a lot cooler. Alright so what do we have here? We have the Lighting changes, we have our Shadows, we have a Color Shift and now we have the moon, ready to Animate and everything else is ready to animate as well. So what we need to do now is work on the Text Operator in a separate Composite so that we can bring that in once we, ready to Animate. So let's go ahead and save again and create a brand new Composite so we can bring in some Text.
