Subtitles of the Movie

Whenever you're working with a Composite that has an Audio File attached to it you might want to Render your QuickTime movie with the Audio or have the Audio Render on its own so that you can have both in separate files. In this particular Composite that has the Kid Carmel Trailer in it, you see that when I click on the Audio Tab I have Imported the music for this so that you know the music is attached to this particular movie and you always know you actually do have Audio whenever you click on Audio and you see that you have a wave form here. So let's talk about how to actually Render this Audio out. I'll go to the File Menu and you can use any file that you work on in the future, you don't necessarily have to follow along to see how to do this. I just want to show you where the Options are. So I'm going to go to File, Render and then on the Output Settings Tab you'll notice that we by default will have the Video Output selected and of course you can choose the format that you like for that. But underneath the Video Output we have a different section for Audio Output and it's not Activated at the moment, so none of the Options are available until I click Audio Output. So when I click this I can still go even further and I can choose to render the Audio as a separate file as well as being attached to the Video. So I'll click separate here and now the rest of the options activate. I can choose where to save it by clicking Filename, I can click the Format and I'll talk about some of these right now, AIFF is the Audio File Format for the Macintosh platform. QuickTime is going to be for QuickTime of course and you have QuickTime streaming which is great for when you want to have Audio Stream on the web and you have the Wav File Format which is the native File Format for the Windows PC Platform. I can also choose the quality and kilohertz, of course 5 kilohertz is going to give you no quality, 11 is going to be alright and 22 is literally going to be half of 44.1 and I'm going to have this selected. Of course I have Stereo and I can also choose 22 and I can change it to 8 bit and I can select Mono on all the settings as well. So if I only wanted to have sound coming from one speaker instead of two I can put it on Mono and save a little file size there. Really handy especially when you're rendering for the web and by the way if you are going to put some Audio on the web I would suggest 22, 8 bit and Mono as your settings for that and once you're done with that you can of course choose your render age for your movie. So you can decide how long its going to render and then when all is said and done you can process this file. So I'm going to choose a place for my file to be on my Desktop and I'll just call it Kid Audio hit OK and do the same thing for the actual movie itself. Call it Kid Movie, hit OK and then when I process this I will be able to render both as you see here. So I'm rendering the output as the movie, QuickTime and I can watch all of the progress as it happens down here as well. So I'll just give it a couple more seconds and then I will have rendered both files to my Desktop and that is how you can render Audio out of Combustion.
