OK, we now need to look at Saving our Title Block drawing for reuse over and over again. Now before we do that we need to make sure that our DETAILS tab and our DETAILS 2 tab also have that Title Block. So I click on the DETAILS tab, and like before, click on the Viewport and Delete it. I then insert the block, so I go up to Insert again, like we did before, remember? Home tab, Block Panel, Insert. There's the Title Block there. Make sure that Specify on screen is unticked, zero, zero, zero, Scale is 1, Rotation zero, Explode unticked and OK it and there's our Title Block. Again, just OK the Attributes for now. We'll look at those later on when we start working with our DETAILS and our GA-PLAN. Right-click over the DETAILS tab, Page Setup Manager. Now, we're in DETAILS, so make sure DETAILS is selected and Modify, as before, we need to go to Printer Plotter, DWF6; Paper size we want ISO full bleed A1, so let's have a look at the list there, ISO full bleed A1, 841 by 594; Extents there for the Plot Area, center the plot and OK it and Close and you'll see that the DETAILS tab now replicates the GA-PLAN. Now, think about it. What I could do here is right-click over DETAILS 2, delete it and OK it, right-click over GA-PLAN, Move or Copy. If I move it to the end and create a copy and OK I've got a GA-PLAN 2, I right-click, I rename it and call it DETAILS 2 instead. Much easier than having to do all that block thing and insert the block again and when I go to DETAILS 2, it's exactly the same as the GA. So, they're all set up now. I've got Model - so I've got all my Details in Model, so I need to double-click on the wheel to go to Extents. There's my house there. GA-PLAN is ready to go. DETAILS, DETAILS 2. So, I'm going to go back to Model now and then what I could do here is save it with the Model tab current. Don't do that. Go to GA-PLAN and then what we need to do, we need to do a Save As, because we don't want to save over any existing drawings, so we do a Save As and what you would do is you would make sure that you save it as a Title Block. So, let's call it 07 and we'll call it ISO and it's an A1, remember, I A1 there, TEMPLATE TITLE BLOCK, like that. I'll just delete that information there, so it's an ISO A1 TEMPLATE TITLE BLOCK. And then, make sure that you save it as the appropriate file type. If you save it as a 2010 drawing, only versions of AutoCAD 2010 and above can read it. If you save it as a 2007, versions of AutoCAD 2007 and above can read it. I normally go for 2007. That covers most versions of AutoCAD that are out there. So, I'll save that now and, as you can see, it saved it there. You can see the name there. Just do a quick save and that will just tidy up the Title Bar at the top. So, you've saved your ISO A1 TEMPLATE TITLE BLOCK with all the Title Blocks in place, with the Model tab set and ready to go, so we can now start working on this at any time. If you want to reuse this for other drawings, just delete what's in the Model Space and use the Title Blocks accordingly. Quick and easy and use that Save As command.
