We're now going to utilize the grips on objects to edit or manipulate objects in this particular drawing. Now the good thing is all of these objects in the drawing are blocks. So if I click on this table here, you'll see it's only got the one blue grip amd if I click on that blue grip I can move the object like so. So if I hit Escape now and then hit Escape again to deselect, that's how the grips work. Now what we need to do is we need to occupy this office here, this office here, and this office here. What I'm going to do is place objects into the office. So let's work with the rubber plant first. I click on it, I click on the grip, I drag the block into the office, I left click to place it and hit Escape to deselect. So that rubber plant has now been moved into the office. If I click on it again though and click on the grip again and make the grip hot by making it red, I can move it, but not only can I move it, I can copy it. So if I right click now and select Move on the Shortcut Menu and then right click again and select copy, what it does now is it allows me to move it and copy it over to this corner here, left click. So as you can see I've copied it now. I press Enter to finish, hit Escape to deselect. So there is a right hand Shortcut Menu that is contact sensitive to grips as well. So let's bring now the keyhole shaped desk in here. I click on it, I click on the Grip, I drag it into the drawing area here. What I'm going to do, I'm going to hover over that Midpoint Snap there and use my Object Snap Tracking to line that desk in with that one and left click. Again hit Escape to deselect. I'm now going to bring the filing cabinet here in. I click on it, I click on the Grip, I'm just going to drag that vertically downwards and place it approximately there. Hit Escape to deselect again. I'm now going to bring the chair in so I click on the chair here, I click on the Grip, I drag it in to place it just beneath the desk there, left click, hit Escape to deselect. I'm now going to place the door. So I click on the door here. I'm going to Zoom in a little bit for this one and Pan so that I can see what I'm doing a little bit more clearly. I click on the door, I click on the Grip, I click on the endpoint there, and then hit Escape to deselect. So my door has now been placed. Going to Pan across a little bit now and zoom out a little bit so that I can place the computer, the telephone and the filing cabinet. I'm going to click on the computer, click on the Grip and Place it just on the desk there and left click, hit Escape to deselect. I'm going to position it a little bit more accurately in a moment. I'm going to click on the computer and also the telephone there as well, telephone needs to come in as well, so I click there and that's on the desk and I hit Escape. So I've now got the computer and the telephone on the desk. Now the filing cabinet is a slightly different quantity. If I click on it, the Grip is in an obscure corner. So if I click on that Grip there and then place it on this inside corner here and left click and then hit Escape to deselect, I now have a filing cabinet that's hanging out of the office. Now if you're on the twenty-third floor that could be a little bit disconcerting. So I'm going to zoom in and I'm just going to pan a little bit there so we've got a bit of clarity. If I click on that filing cabinet again and click on the grip now I can rotate on that grip as well. If I right click now and select rotate I can rotate about that grip. So what I'm going to do if I specify my rotation angle there I can use Object Snaps for that and go to that corner there. You can see the filing cabinet is now in the right position, left click, filing cabinet now inside office and not hanging outside of window, hit Escape to deselect. I'll pan down slightly now, all I need to do now is reposition my computer, so I click on the computer, I click on the grip, I right click and select rotate. I can now rotate it. I'm going to specify rotation angle this time by typing in 45 degrees and press Enter, that rotates my computer to the right angle. However, I click on the grip there now just to place it slightly more on the desk and left click and hit Escape to deselect. I now need to rotate the chair to face the computer, so I click on the chair, I click on the grip. Once I've clicked on the grip now I right click and I select rotate and I need to rotate is you look clockwise, I need to rotate clockwise to get in that chair to face the computer so I can specify a rotation angle. Now because it's clockwise its negative so that's minus 45 degrees and press Enter and that chair now quite happily faces the computer. So I hit Escape to deselect. What I can do now is I can copy a group of objects into this office over here. So I'm going to select the rubber plant, the desk, the computer, the phone, the chair and the filing cabinet. I then select the grip that I want to use to move and copy them. So I click on this grip here, I right click and select move, I right click and I select copy. I'm then going to this corner here, this inner corner here, left click and Enter to finish and I've copied the entire contents of that office into the new office, hit Escape to deselect. I now need to move the door here so I click, click on the grip, right click, move, right click, and again copy and place it here on this end point snap here and Enter to finish and escape to deselect. Now what I'm going to do is a Mirror with a base point. So I'm just going to zoom in for clarity here, I'm going to select all of these objects within the office here using a crossing selection like that, there's all the grips, again, I can select any grip I want. The grip I'm going to select is this one, left click on it to make it go red all, grip, I now right click, mirror, I want to mirror it into the other office. Right click; copy because I want to copy it as well. But notice its rotating on the grip, I want to change the base point, right click, base point, the new base point is going to be this mid point snap here on the wall, left click, drag vertically downwards for the new mirror line using the Polar Tracking, left click again, hit Enter to finish, hit escape to deselect and if you zoom out now you've mirrored that entire office environment.
