We're now going to look at editing our Hatch Objects and what we're going to do here, we're going to move some objects and lose the Hatch Associative of another Hatch Object. So I'm now going to go to the Move Command here, again on the Home Tab here, so I click on Move on the Modify Panel and to select the objects I'm going to left click here and place a Window Selection around these objects here and left click like so. I right click or press Enter to confirm and then the base point I'm going to use is the mid point snap here. I now left click and I'm going to drag using my Polar Tracking this way and I'm going to move it 15 units to the left by typing in 15 and pressing Enter. Now you'll notice down here at the bottom on the Command Line, Hatch Boundary Associative Removed. So what's happened here is the Hatch Boundary Associative for this Hatch and the Solid Fill there has been removed, because I've moved these objects here. Now you'll notice the Hatch there has gone behind the Solid Fill so what I need to do there is click on the Solid Fill, right click, go to Draw Order and send it to the back. So the Solid Fill is now behind the Hatch Pattern but I still need to fix this here, so what I need to do, I need to extend my lines first. So I click on this line here, click on the Grip and take it across to the intersection snap there and left click. I hit Escape to deselect. I now click on this line here, click on the Grip here and drag it across to the intersection snap, left click and hit Escape to deselect. I now need to edit the boundaries of this Hatch and the Solid Fill. Let's do the Hatch first, I hover it so it highlights, I double click and I go into Hatch Edit. All I've got to do now is remove the existing boundary here by clicking on this button here. I click on Remove Boundaries, the existing boundary shows as a dashed line. Using the Pick Box, I pick over it and left click, it disappears. What I now do is I right click and select Add Boundaries on the Shortcut Menu and pick an internal point in the new area formed by the new lines that I've extended. If I now right click and preview that, my Hatch now fills the new area. I can right click to accept that. Now I need to edit the Solid Fill behind. If I now just hover on the edge of that Solid Fill, can you see it highlight? That's the trick with the Solid Fills, get on the edge of them and they highlight. Double click and again we're in Hatch Edit but for the Gradient Fill this time. Again same process, click on Remove Boundaries, there's the boundary shown by the dashed line, you left click on it, right click and Add Boundaries, pick a point inside the new lines, left click, the new boundary is highlighted and shown, you then right click and preview and the Solid Fill goes to the new area, right click then to accept and your job is done.
