We're now going to look at Multi Liters in AutoCAD and how we can use them to communicate our Design Intent. In this drawing you can see that we have a house layout again and we have a Rooms Table, each room has a number and a description so what we're going to do, we're going to place some balloon call outs with the room numbers in on the drawing so that people can relate those balloon call outs to the descriptions of the rooms in the table. So we're looking at the Lounge there which is room number 1 and what we're going to do is we're going to create a Multileader Style with a balloon call out that relates to that particular room. So I go up here to my Multi Liters Panel in my Annotate Tab, click on Multileader Style, at the moment we have the standard style which is always there, we're going to select New and the new style name is going to be called Balloon Call Outs like so. Notice you start with the standard style anyway, click on Continue. All we're going to change in here we're not going to change Liter Format, Liter Structure, we're going to utilize the standard stuff for those. But in the Content Tab we're going to change our Multileader Type from a Multi Line Text Liter to a block style. Now these blocks are always available in AutoCAD, you don't have to create these blocks they're always there in the Multileader Styles. So I click on the Down Arrow here and I'm going to select circle like so, the attachment is Center Extents and you can see the tag number there. It's going to ask for a tag number every time I place a Multileader. So what I'm going to do now is click on OK and my Balloon Call Out is there, I now a style so I click there and set them as my current style by clicking on the Set Current Button and close. So now what when I click on the Multileader Icon here it prompts me to place a Multileader. So if I click here inside the Lounge and drag outwards you'll see the dot appear of the Multileader Style and when click out here like this it asks me to Enter the tag number for that particular Balloon Call Out. The tag number is going to be 1 for the Lounge and I click on OK. Now you'll notice a Dialog Box appears when I do that and then my Balloon Call Out appears. If you don't want that Dialog Box to appear what you need to do is type ATTDIA, Attribute Dialog Box that stands for and if you press Enter you'll see that mine is set 1. That means that the Dialog Box will appear. If I set that 0 and press Enter now the next time I place a Multileader for the Kitchen this time you'll see that the Dialog Box does not appear. So what I'm going to do now is I'm going to place a Multileader here to the Kitchen and click here, drag outwards and there's my Balloon Call Out there, tag number 2, press Enter and there's my Multileader. Now what we can do is we can collect Multi Liters. So for example I might have placed that Liter Line somewhere else. So let's hold it we got Staircase there, have we got a room description? Yes we have, we have number 5 there. So let's place another Multileader now for the Staircase and I'll place it there and drag it out this way like that and I'll type 5 for that tag number there. Now what I want to do is I might want to line those up to make them look neat and tidy, so I use this one here, align Multi Liters. I select the Multi Liters that I want to Align like so and press Enter to confirm. And now what I can do is I can select the Multileader to align to or if I press the Down Arrow I can go to Options and the Options I have are I can distribute them, I can make Liter Segments parallel or I can specify spacing. I'm going to distribute and now I select a point on a Liter like that, let's say the center of that balloon and now as I drag you'll notice they are aligned along the center line of that 2 there for that Balloon Call Out. I left click and now they're nice and neatly lined up. So let's place some more Balloon Call Outs, let's place a couple over here, I've got the Bathroom and the Dining Room. Now it may be that I want to specify another Liter for this particular, let's say I'm specifying one for that particular toilet type as well. So let me just zoom in there a second and what I might do, this might not be on the room description, it might be an A or a T for Toilet perhaps. So let's place some Multi Liters here, I'm going to place a Multileader here for the room like so and the room for that one lets just pan out slightly is actually going to be room number 3 there on the table. So I specify my Liter Landing location by clicking 3 in there like so. So that tells me it's the Bathroom but if I now place another Multileader, let's say there on the Toilet perhaps and bring it out this way and that might be let's say T for Toilet in there like that. Now those relate to each other so really the 3 and the T should be coming off of the same Multileader Line. So I can collect my Multi Liters here, make sure you click on them when it says select Multi Liters in the order that you want them to appear like that and press Enter. Notice now they're off the 1 Liter so I can do that like that. Yeah so I specify collecting Multileader Location and there we are, that aligns my Multi Liters but also collects the tubal link call outs to the 1 Liter Line. So let's now do the Dining Room, - unintelligible Ð look now that's on our table there, that is room number 4, so let's place one more Liter but this time I want to place where the Balloon is going to go first. So what I can do here now is I can click on Multi Liter, I can right click and I want content first. That'll ask me to specify where I want the balloon to go, I want it there and then I'm going to enter the tag number which is 4 for the Dining Room and then I can actually go and place my Liter like that. OK, so there's right click Options as soon as you go into the Multileader Command as well.
