Before thanking the entire VTC members that I've had the opportunity to work with, I need to personally thank Tim Waldy. I am humbled by Tim's patience as I have struggled with personal and family issues that have delayed the production of this tutorial. The longer Tim has waited for the introduction of this tutorial, the more I have learned what it means to have a friend during hard times. In sharing my knowledge I have gained insight and have learned the meaning that a professional working relationship beyond words. Thank you, Tim for being understanding and believing in my abilities to deliver a quality tutorial once again. I would like to thank VTC for supporting my efforts and sharing my knowledge of AutoCAD to a large audience of AutoCAD users. VTC continues to be a company that acres about the quality of work delivered and produced for its customers. With their guiding hand they have supported my level of content and high standards which are reflected in the quality of this tutorial. Thank you to all of the VTC members for your professional assistance and leadership. I thank all of the VTC users for carefully listening and learning from this tutorial, your desire to learn motivates me to share all that I can, regarding the use of this program. I remember the first time I began using autocad and wanting to learn more then the other drafters. My company hired a tutor and before long I had exhausted his patience as well as his knowledge of AutoCAD release 11. I told myself then that if I could learn more I would gladly share the information because I did not like the frustrating feelings brought on by a desire to draw and the inability to do so. Many years and versions of AutoCAD later I have tried to stay true to my words. May you benefit from these private lessons, tell your friends about VTC and its benefits. A special thank you to architectural resource corporation for providing many of the drawing files used in this tutorial. I appreciate their trust and I am grateful for having the opportunity to use actual working drawings to model true drawing experiences. Thank you to my parents, my siblings and extended family members. Although we have grown apart this past year as we have struggled with the medical difficulties experienced by our father, I continue to pray for solutions that will require time to heal our wounds and I look forward to the bright future in which we will once again unite as a true family. Until then, individually, you continue to be a source of support in everything that I do. Finally a very special thank you to my family, to my daughters for being a source of inspiration and happiness, you are constant reminders of what it truly means to love and learn. You keep my heart warm, my mind thinking and my soul alive. To my wife for her constant support of the tutorials I have created over the years. You are always supporting my academic and professional endeavors, thank you for your compassion and your companionship through our many physical ailments, medical problems and emotional stresses that wanted to over take us this past year.
