Scene Management / Setting the Project Folder
Subtitles of the Movie
When you start working on any project in Max it's always a good idea to make a Project Folder. This helps you organize all your files in one location. To make a Project Folder, let's go to File, Set Project Folder, and right now I'm going to go on my Desktop to Sandeep Projects, and let's make a new folder. New Projects, let's say OK. Let's open our Windows Explorer, let's browse to the Desktop again under Sandeep Projects, and this is my New Projects Folder that I just made. Now, if I go inside that you can see that Max already made all the Sub-directories for me. For example, my scenes are going to go over here; any rendered data is going to go up here; so, this will be really easy to organize all my files in one location. By Default on my system, if I go to Documents, 3ds Max; this was my Default location, but right now, depending on what project I'm working on, I always change it. So, right now I changed it to New Projects. So, I would totally get into the habit of making a Project Folder right when you start Max.
