Hi! And welcome to VTC's Training Series on Autodesk 3D Studio Max 2009. My name is Sandib Kukani and I'll be your guide into this exciting world of 3D Studio Max 2009. I'll be referring to 3D Studio Max as either 3ds Max or just Max. So, just note that it's the same software we're talking about here. For those people who are new to 3D you'll be glad to know that 3ds Max is one of the main 3D applications when it comes to gaming, architectural visualization, forensic and medical animation, and also film and television-related effects and animation. If some of you have seen my QuickStart!! Series with Max 2009 you probably have an idea of what 3ds Max is capable of. In this series, we'll be talking about the user interface, scene management, customization of the user interface, different tools in Max, modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, rendering, atmospheric effects, particle systems and so on. So, sit back and enjoy as we dive into the world of 3D.
