Subtitles of the Movie
In this scene we're going to take a look at the Snapshot tool inside Max. The Snapshot tool has a cool feature. It allows you to make copies of an object as it's animated on a path. So, for example, if I hit Play over here, you can see that my object over here is animated on that path. Now, if I wanted to make copies of this object over time, the way I can do that is by selecting the object, going to Tools, Snapshot, and over here it's going to ask me, Do I want a single copy. Or Over the entire animation range, so I'm going to say Animation Range, and I'm going to say, Give me at least 15 copies. The moment I say OK you can see all these copies are generated. My original object is still there and I can get rid of it or hide it at this point, but you can see all these other objects are generated along the path over the time of the animation. So it's a really cool tool if you wanted to make a scene where, for example, it's a ski resort and you wanted to make all these ski lifts along a particular path. It'll be really simple to animate one ski lift first on a path and then make all these snapshots.
