Subtitles of the Movie

In this movie let's take a look at how you can use Constraints to animate our objects. I have a simple animation over here with these two Cylinders. Let me just Play it like this. And these are all the Keyframes for both the Cylinders. So what I'm going to do right now is I want a Cylinder on the left to pick up the ball at 15, take the ball all the way over there. When it comes back at 45, do a Switch and this Cylinder takes the ball and so on. So I'm going to select the ball, the soccer ball, and let's go to Motion Panel. Let's go to Transform, click on Assign Controller, and assign a Link Constraint. Let's go here. Right now the Link Parameters is open and over here it's asking me Add Link. The first one I'm going to say at Frame zero Link to All, which means it will stay right there. Go to Frame 15 in this case and let's select this just to check it's 15 and the 30, 45 and so on. I'm simply going to say Add Link and add this one as the Link, Cylinder01. You can see how the Cylinder takes the ball. Let's zoom out a little bit so you can see better. Let's come back to Frame 45 and let's do that Switch. So, Add Link, add the second Cylinder at 45. There we go. Come back to 75 in this case. Let's delete the Link and add the second Cylinder again, so there we go. So zero, at 15 it takes it, 45 does the Switch, 75 does the Switch again and at 105 I want the ball to be linked to the World again, so all I'll do is Link to World. So it just drops the ball and there we go. And that's how simple it is to animate with the Link Constraint.
