Well we've reached the end of our tutorial here on iWork '08 and I want to take a moment just to briefly review some of the things we've covered. You certainly now have a pretty good comprehension of the 3 applications, numbers, pages and Keynote that are included with iWork '08 and for example in Keynote you now know how to create a presentation, you can add and organize slide and that really defines the creation of that presentation. You can add photos and transitions to those slides, so between slides and you can add photos to draw attention to certain text in your slide or just make a slide show out of photos essentially. You can create builds out of those photos, you can create builds with certain elements of text within a slide and then of course you can customize your slideshows. Use templates and things of that nature so that you can go beyond the basics and some of the defaults that Keynote gives you. In pages you now know how to get going with creation of a document and you do that by adding and editing text. You can add and edit images within a pages document, you know how the difference works between say a word processing document and a page layout document. You can add headers, footers and sections to those documents and you know how those work with the different types, again, the difference between the page layout and the word processing type of document. The of course you can add reference material such as a bibliography or a table of contents to those documents. And then we look at numbers, numbers is the new application that is included with iWork 2008 and with numbers you can create a new spreadsheet, you can add charts, tables and sheets to those spreadsheets and really spreadsheet defines really what can be called a workbook, but we know the difference between a chart, a table and an individual sheet within that numbers document. We can crunch numbers with formulas and functions, we can take those numbers and create understanding, create pictures with charts, text and we can format entire pages as well to maybe draw attention to certain elements within a page. And then finally we can share data with other applications. So we can take some of the data that we store in numbers and make it usable in applications such as Keynote and pages as well. We then learned some powered user tips and tricks to take you beyond some of the basics and can't of course give you a full review of everything we covered you can go back and look at the module headings as easily as I can. But some of the things that I want to particularly point out we now know, in pages for example, how to add watermarks and images and manipulate those images and turn an image into a watermark. Use placeholder images, turn an image into a placeholder image and that kind of thing. We can in Keynote create sim animations and also we explored some of the export options that you have. So whether it be create a movie file or a Flash movie or send a movie directly to youtube so those are some of the export options that we examined. And then in numbers we looked at different table styles that we can add to our spreadsheet documents and then we looked at how to save typing with auto fill. There's one more slide that I want to review here and it's this one, an important tip here that would certainly be included in this wrap up video, is proofread your work. There are of course as you saw through out this tutorial lots of ways that the three different applications in the iWorks Suite help you create perfect documents and perfect presentations, but it won't do all the heavy lifting for you, it won't substitute good, old fashion, double checking of your work. So for example, if you go to the edit menu, you can see the spelling options here and this is a default to check the spelling as you type. But for example in this word here, if you've already ignored a misspelled word that's in one of your documents, a Keynote presentation for example, it may not catch it the next time. So this isn't even being recognized as a misspelled word because I've already told Keynote to ignore this. So are there tools to help you create perfect documents? Absolutely. Will it replace good old fashion human proofreading? Absolutely not. You may have noticed in the numbers modules that I misspelled the word itinerary, now this certainly won't affect any of the content of that presentation or those modules, you'll still learn the essential features that I was trying to communicate. But of course I was focused on that and not the spelling of the word itinerary, hopefully this is the first time you've noticed it as well, but just in case, just remember that- well there we go, do your K, just remember that nothing is a substitute for good old fashion proof reading. So I leave you with that essential tip and I wish you the best of luck with your use of this application suite. Be back in just a second with an author wrap up, you'll have my email address to contact me if you have any questions and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
