Alright. We continue our look at some of the additional features that you can implement with Pages here and these first couple of modules just really cover some of the basics actually, but they do come into play when you want to start creating your own documents and not using just the templates that are given to you. So we need to know certainly how to adjust those templates and one of the ways is to set your own margins, either top, bottom or left and right and the way that you do that very simply is that you open up the inspector and make sure that the document inspector is chosen. So if you look at the left-most button here, you're well on your way to setting your document margins and that's exactly what this section is. And you can adjust the margins by just clicking the scroll wheel there or typing in your values manually; however you want to do it. Top and bottom margins are default one inch. Left and right margins are default one inch as well. You also have, if you notice, right above this a page setup button and that'll bring up the dialog box that we saw in the previous modules. So that look very familiar. And we cancel out of this. So keep that in mind. This is just the place you need to go. Open up the inspector, document inspector and you're well on your way to setting your margins. You can also set margins for facing pages and this can sometimes be helpful to look at a different view of your document to use those facing pages margins. What it does is it will let you change the margin for the inside and outside. It doesn't look at left and right anymore and in fact, let's get the inspector back out and show you exactly what that's like. So the inside margin now is going to be 1.5 inches. Maybe the outside then can be a little bit less and that, again, allows for a little extra space for the binding to cover what is there. It can also be helpful here to look at a two-up page view and it will probably default to that anyway, but if you fit the width and or fit the page with a two-up view, you can see what is going to be on the left and right-facing page that is in your document. So we'll change this, turn that off once again and then again you might need to adjust some of the stuff here. Let's do a one-up view and then we'll keep this width to look at this view. So again, there's our ruler at the top. This also gives us a view of how wide that margin is. If you look on the left-hand side here, you get this gray area which tells you that the margin is 1.5 inches. On the right, you have a one-inch, or actually now we're down to a half-inch margin from our adjustments before. You can also adjust the margins using this ruler up here. So if you notice that if I put the mouse anywhere in this gray area, it turns into a double pointed arrow there and then I can just click and drag and make a three-inch margin or a one-inch margin, set things back to default. Will that be reflected in the inspector? Indeed it will. So those are your ways that you can create the margins and set the margins in your document and of course, if you're customizing documents and making things for print layouts or printed material, that can certainly come into play.
