Welcome to VTC Training module for iMovie 2. iMovie is one of Apples great programs. In the past, nonlinear video editing programs have only been used by professionals and serious amateurs. They're expensive, difficult to learn, and very time consuming. iMovie is a revelation. It's cheap, if not free from any iMac owners. It's quick and easy to learn. It's very user friendly and most important of all it's a fun experience. With iMovie, you'll be able to achieve everything that the professionals achieve. You'll be able to capture high quality video clips. Edit these easily and quickly, create some simple or animated titles, perform simple or fancy transitions, then add some useful or wild special effects, choose from a whole library of audio effects, record dialogue directly into iMovie, and finally you'll add a music track to your video. There's no doubt about it, Apple has written a program for the rest of us. All you need is a DV-camcorder and an Apple Mac with firewire and you can then produce knock out movies. In the following tutorials, I'll be showing you how to achieve all of the above tasks. So, if you are ready let's begin with the first lesson.
