Subtitles of the Movie

We live in a society where everything is needed yesterday and things are faster and faster. So fortunately for you speed freaks out there, iDVD also has a solution for you that you can just go ahead and shoot your video and have iDVD make the video for you. Well, for the most part. You still have to do a little tiny bit of work. In the case of One-Step DVD, what you do when you click on that is it's going to pretty much ask you to insert a blank disk and then connect your video camera. Turn your camera on, turn it into VCR Mode and then the application will do the rest. It will take the video off, apply a theme, do everything for you and you can do whatever you want to and come back to a DVD. So I'm going to go ahead and say OK and cancel that. I'm not going to go ahead and do that. But that is the fastest way. But it's also the way with the least amount of creative control. Magic iDVD is also very fast but it gives you more options. You can get to this window, by the way, whenever you create a brand-new project or you can go to File and choose Magic iDVD or One-Step DVD. So I'm going to click on Magic iDVD and right away we see that it's called My Great DVD by default. You would think that Napoleon write this application because everything he did was great, in his own mind at least. So you can highlight this and change this text if you'd like. Then you choose a theme. I'll go ahead and choose Soft Frame. Don't forget; you can always choose a different theme from here, one of the older ones if you want or a favorite. Now, it's very easy. It says Drop Movies Here and Drop Photos Here. I think I shall. So I'll go to Movies and as you see on my media list here, I can choose some of my movies that I have here in my library. So I'll grab a couple, drag those right on in and let's go get a few more. OK. I think that's enough. Then I'll go to Photos and I'll drag some of those in. I can twirl this down to see all of my photos. So I'll go ahead and drag some of these and if I want audio, by the way, all I have to do is drag it and drop it where it says. Drop it above to add music to your slideshow. So I don't have a slideshow for now so that's fine but if you do have a slideshow, you just drag the audio right on top of it. Now, I do have a folder here on my Desktop so I can scroll down to see more content in my DVD and just drag this whole folder right there and then I can drag some audio on top of it. So I'll go to my Audio, I'll go to GarageBand Demo Songs and hopefully it will actually lock on when I see the plus sign and we have the little music icon. So the slideshow will have music and then I have all of these photographs and movies. What I can do at this point is hit the Preview Button. We'll give it a little bit of time to create the DVD project and then we'll be able to use the controls to actually play the video as if we were sitting at our TV. So let me move this over a little bit, here's our controller, My Great DVD and our buttons. So here's movies, here's slideshows. Oh, that's pretty sweet. I can use these arrows and as you can see, I can always go to the Menu Button like I'm on my real remote control. I can also hit Title and once I'm done, I hit Exit and I'm brought back to my interface so I can continue tweaking and modifying. If I don't want something here, simply click on it in one of these wells and hit Delete on your keyboard.
