iTunes / Online Radio Stations

Subtitles of the Movie

Not only do you have music from your own CDs and music purchased from the iTunes Store that you can enjoy in iTunes, you also have this guy right here; radio stations believe it or not. So you can find a stream based on the different genre that you may be interested in and you can also find the stream that has the most bit rate or the most capability for the most users to enjoy the song. So let me go ahead and show you how this work and what I would do to grab all my favorite stations and put them in one spot. So I'm going to twirl down dance and I'm going to show you here that we have all these radio stations and, of course, you can scroll down and what you can also find is a comment; number one for dance and it tells you the type of music and this is the important part right here. The bit rate. The higher the number, the more people can listen to this at one time and often the quality is better as well. So we have ABF Clubbing at 192 and we also have it at 24 kilobytes per second. Now, let's talk about how to take these stream and create your own playlist. I'm going to click the plus sign here and I'm going to show you a little trick to get this playlist to go over to the very top of the stack of my songs here. I'm going to simply, I'm going to type two of these little dots here and this is found on top of the number eight and all I did was held down the option key and hit the number eight on the keyboard to get these little guys here. So I'm going to put dance jams and then because of these dots, it appears at the top of the stock. It takes precedence over any of the letters. Now, I can grab my clubbing, put this here and then I can go and find something else, so let me go to another category such as electronic and we wait for this to open up and I can grab this underground, put that right in my dance jams and I can grab dance hits, once again put that in there and when I click on this playlist, these are the radio stations that I like to listen to on a daily basis. Likewise, I would create one for reggae jams and slow jams and that kind of thing. So radio stations are another way that you can enjoy music in iTunes.
