iTunes / iTunes Store pt. 1

Subtitles of the Movie

Whenever your iTunes library becomes, well, pretty boring, you might want to invest in getting some new music or some movies from the iTunes Store and you can access it from within iTunes by clicking right here where it says iTunes Store. Once you do that and as long as you have an Internet connection, you're taken to the online store and from here you can see the current releases, such as here's Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End and this is a movie that you can actually play on your iPod, some selected models, and the iPhone. We see have we have an album by Mary J. Blige and Jack Johnson and the interface is pretty simple. First of all, we have the entire store and from here you can choose a category, such as music, movies, TV shows and my favorite, audio books. Once you find a category, you can then search further in there. Over here we see the new releases and these are the current offerings that the artists today have for you to choose from and you can scroll with these arrows to go back and forth. You also have these tabs showing the new releases in music, movies, TV shows and other categories. And we also have the quick links so you can do searching for things. For example, you can search for the latest Prince album or the latest Cool & the Gang album, if they do have an album. You can also check your account, you can buy iTunes GIFts and you can redeem GIFts. And by GIFts they mean music cards pretty much. So you can buy a 50.00 card and give it to someone for their birthday. They can then come here and redeem that card and then purchase music or movies or whatever they like. We can also see down here that we see today's top songs. And in the middle, we can see different categories. So we have the best of 2007 editor's choice and we have cases for iPods and Christmas Time in South Park. Let me scroll down some more. We have another category called just for you and we can see there are other selections available to us here. We have a what's hot category and down here you see the latest movies. Staff favorites and these are choices selected by the people who run the iTunes music store. And we see we have some games here. So some devices offered by Apple do support games and if I'm not mistaken, I believe the iPod Nano plays games. We also see we have free selections as well and this is a really nice way to try something you've never heard of in your life. You can always delete it if you don't want it, but why not try something free and find a new artist that you might become a fan of? And we have the independent category called Indies. You can also choose which store you'd like to search. Here's the United States store, but you can choose from any of the iTunes stores around the world. And over here we have the top audio books and of course, I am Legend is number one right now. I am America and some other books are available and we have, last but not least, the top ringtones because as the iTunes store continues to evolve, they offer you new features. So these ringtones will play on your iPhone. So this is pretty much the iTunes interface. It's pretty easy to navigate and I'll talk about the ways you could purchase music, as well as what these buttons and everything do in the next part.
