Subtitles of the Movie

Everything in your iPhoto collection lives in the library, which is located on the left side of the interface. As you see here, we have our events, we have our photos, we also have a recent category, which pretty much represents anything you opened recently, such as my Cape May photo collection, anything opened in the last 12 months, my last import from my digital camera, any images I have flagged and the trash. I also have my albums and these are albums that I create myself and albums that I'm able to drag from other locations on my hard drive into iPhoto and it doesn't really have to consist of just images that you take with a digital camera. These can be, as you see here, images that are on your hard drive, such as JPEG's, pang's or any format that iPhoto understands. In this case, these are images in my portfolio. So I simply found my portfolio folder and brought it right into iPhoto. I also have in my albums projects underneath it. Projects are the things you create when you click this button here. So when I click on this multi-segment button, I can create a new album, a smart album a web gallery, a slideshow, book, card or calendar. And these will appear in my projects. So let's go ahead and just choose temporarily, let's say card. And if I choose a picture card based on one of my images here and I can go ahead and just type my card and click choose, it appears in the projects pane here. So I have untitled card and my card which was just created. I also have a category for slideshows. So once again, when you click this multi-segment button, you have a slideshow button and any slideshow you create will appear in its own category. So the library is where you're going to go to find anything that you want to create or work with or store inside of iPhoto.
