Subtitles of the Movie

It's really a lot of fun to create a movie in iMovie and then put it on an actual DVD that you can watch in your set top box and then, you know, send it to friends and family in the mail. Now, let me show you how to get your movie from iMovie into iDVD. And what we have to do is go to the share menu. So just go to the menu bar up here, choose share and then what we want to use is this guy right here called a media browser because you'll notice that we have the ability to export the movie, export using QuickTime and export final cut. But what we're going to do is put this file on a media browser so that the rest of the iLife suite can quickly access it. So I'm going to go to media browser and then the sheet comes down and it pretty much asks me what size I intend to use this movie in. So if I choose tiny for example, you'll see that it's going to be good for iPhone and .Mac. If I choose mobile, I can watch it on an iPhone, a computer, Mac and YouTube. And if I choose medium, I can watch it on iPod, the Apple TV and more. And you'll also notice that we have these sizes here. Of course, the larger the size, the bigger the platform you can watch it on. So I'm going to put this on medium so I can watch it on a computer screen and as you see here, I can watch it on Apple TV, the iPod, .Mac and YouTube as well. Also, if I put my mouse over this little eye here, I can see some more information, such as how many frames per second and that kind of thing. So now that I see that this file is 640 by 360, I can publish this now to the media browser. But actually I'm going to choose a smaller size, just to save time. So I'll publish this to a small size and then it's going to prepare the project and once it's done, I can open up iDVD and the cat project will be available to me. Ok. So that's all done. I'm going to jump over to iDVD and then I will create a new project and of course, you always get this my great DVD as the title. I'll just call it cat and I'm going to leave it on, actually I'll put it on standard this time and I'll create. And let me move this over so I can show you this here. See that media button down there? Let me go ahead and see if I can resize this so it fits perfectly. I'm going to click media and then here it is. Here's the cat project. And now I'm ready to bring this into iDVD to build a new project. So as you can see, it's pretty easy to share your films with the iDVD by going to the share menu in iMovie.
