Sometimes you simply don't want to go through all the steps that are required to slowly but surely build your own DVD. That's where Magic iDVD and One-Step DVD come into play. With Magic iDVD, you click the button and then you're presented with this Magic iDVD window. Here you can name the DVD, you can quickly choose a theme and then you follow the instructions. You simply drop movies here and you drop your photos here. Let's go ahead and do some of these right now. And by the way, all of your themes are still available to you. So I'm going to go to some movies here that I have and I'll drag them where it says to drag the movies because it's what it tells me to do and I'm not going to do too many; just a few. And what I'm going to do as well is I'm going to drag some photos there as well. So let me go to iPhoto and let me see. Here I got my houseplants category and I'll drag a few of these images here as well. Once I've done that, I can then click the preview button to see what it looks like. So let's go ahead and try that as well. You hit the exit button to return and then you can continue to build your DVD. It's pretty easy actually. So iDVD will do all the work for you. So don't forget. This is where your media browser is really going to come in handy because what you see here is pretty much what's going to happen in your finished DVD. Now, we can also drag audio files to add music to your slideshows if you create a slideshow. I'm going to close this now and I'm going to return to this menu and let's take a look at One-Step DVD. Now, you'll notice that there's a camera picture here, which means of course that this is going to literally pull the DVD images from your video camera. So when I click this, a dialog box is going to come up and say, to use this, you have to connect your digital camera and then you have to turn your camera into VCR mode. You click OK, insert a blank disk, it will rewind, import your video and make a DVD. So pretty much everything is pretty much out of your hands in this format. So this is, in my opinion, some for like college students or high school students who forgot that they have to turn in a project in 20 minutes and their professor is tapping his feet waiting for it. So this is like your last resort to get this done, at least to get that D. But you know, you were going for that D plus, so the D plus would entail you to do a little bit more work and the A plus of course would go when you do it yourself. So these are two quick ways that you can use iDVD to help you create a DVD automatically.
