Subtitles of the Movie
Hello everyone this is Dwayne Ferguson, from Virtual Training Company I just want to go over some of the features in each of the iLife applications that we spoke about in this iLife '08 tutorial. In iTunes you guys learned how to create playlists, burn CDs and DVDs and also how to find podcast and how to buy music from the iTunes store. Good times all around, it's the industry standard as far as I'm concerned, as far as putting music and content on your idevice such as your iPod and your iPhone. In iWeb we created some web pages, we learned about the new web widgets such as Google Map, we were also able to create pages that have automatic links added for us and we talked about how to add movies as well as how to build a gallery that people can enjoy online, by enabling the slideshow. We also talked about RSS feeds and how people can subscribe to any podcast or feed that you present to them when they visit your website. We also discussed shapes which allow you to create all kinds of wacky shapes that you can add text to and we talked about the various themes available to you whenever you want to build a website or create a blog. iDVD of course of all the applications that have received the least love but there are a bunch of new themes. It still works the same way and it's your last stop in your production cycle when you want to present a DVD to someone so they can watch your movies or slideshows and that kind of thing on an actual set top box. iMovie I think had the most drastic change and is going to shock a lot people when they see this interface. But hopefully I helped you get through that and now you understand it and it can make movies like Spielberg, Spike Lee and you know handle this application with the best of them. We talked about the new interface, the new buttons how to adjust the audio so you can change the video picture quality and the tone and setting of pictures and all kinds of stuff. We talked about how to crop and rotate images and we also talked about how to import movies from a video camera or even from somewhere on your hard drive. We talked about titles and how to work with the media library and we also talked about how you can use this cool button just to switch the interface around for no apparent reason. I love this button here; Apple always has to give you something pretty to look at. Now let's talk about iPhoto, we talked about how to use the new events and how to use those to streamline you're growing Photo library. We also talked about how to create albums, how to use the trash and how to create projects such as calendars and picture books and cars and all that kinds of stuff. We also spoke about how to edit your photographs so they come out great and how to get rid of red eye and all those other kinds of crazy things, that may happen when you're taking photographs, even when it comes to removing things like coins with editing tools. And we talked about garage bands, how to make your music, how to get your jam on. So you can make music for your iMovie soundtracks or you can make music just to play on your iPod or your iPhone or even to put into your iTunes library to make a CD. So we talked about a lot of cool things in garage band and also how to edit loops to make them their own and how to use the new arrange track as well. So let me just make sure I covered everything here, garage band, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, iWeb, iTunes and iMe, that's me guys, Dwayne Ferguson from Virtual Training Company, thank you for following along on this tutorial. Hope you had a good time, I hope you learned a lot of useful features of iLife '08 and I'll see you later. Check out some of my other tutorials at the Virtual Training Company Website at VTC.com.
