Orientation On Main Windows / Viewer & Tool Tabs
Subtitles of the Movie
In this movie, we will orient ourselves with the viewer window, the tool tabs, and the node view. The viewer: this area can hold one or more viewer, which display the composite at the currently selected node from the node view. You can view a composite at any node in your node by clicking the left side of it and can even edit the parameters of one node by clicking the right side of one node while viewing another node. See here, we have selected the parameters of Spill Surpress but we're viewing the Keylight node. Or you can load both the parameters and the viewer by double clicking. You can view individual channels of a node while adjusting your colors in this area here. Specific layer controls show up below or on top of the viewer when you're in a layer or Roto-shape node. The Tool Tabs: here is where we select our new nodes to be added to our composite. It's organized in a fairly logical format by the function of what each node does. By right clicking on any node in the tool tabs, we can decide how it is added to the node tree; by inserting, branching, replacing, or creating the node. In addition to the fun that is creating new nodes, the tool tabs area can also display the Curve Editor, the Node View, or the Time View. The Node View: This is the area where composites are built. It displays the tree of connected nodes that changes the image or sequence from the top of the node tree down to the bottom. Each Shake function is represented by a node that can be added to, deleted from, or inserted into a node tree. And new nodes can be found in the tool tabs or from the top tool bar under tools. To review, the tool tabs are where we create new nodes, the node view is where we arrange them to form our composite, or node tree, and the viewer is where we can see the composite at any given node.
