Now all that's left as we complete our DVD Menu here is that we bring in our text that people will see and click on and interact with to produce or to start playing of the DVD, so we create our text. You've seen this. There's been a whole module, or whole Chapter on this, but we bring in our text with our Text Tool. So we click on Create up in our Create Tool Palette here, we click on the Text Tool, click anywhere really because we'll reposition this, and we type in what we want people to see on the Menu. So, Play, Scenes, and we'll do Menu as well. So, again, it doesn't really matter what the size is, where the position is, because we'll fix that as we go. So, let's press Escape to go back to our Selection Tool and then we can start to reposition this and even rotate our text is we want to because it, again, exists in a three-dimensional space. So, now the decisions have to do with is that the right size? Do we want to animate this as it comes in? And maybe, indeed, we do. So, let's first of all just kind of reposition it in our project a little bit so it comes in right here. Also notice that it looks like it's already got some animation parameters that have been added. Why is that? Well, if you look at the Project Pane here you'll notice that this text was added to Group 3 and the Camera is now shooting Group 3 and the Camera is moving in a Dolly past Group 3, in other words, past our Emitter, because that's what's in Group 3, that's what we built it out of. So, if we don't want that to occur we have to move this to a different group and in fact, that's what I'll do. I'll just move this and create a separate group with this and rather than having a 3D layer that the Camera will, once again, kind of dolly past, I will turn this into a 2D Grouping and now it looks like that. So now I can really focus in on the size, the positioning, and any animation parameters that I want to add to this block of text. So, without getting too bogged down in the details of this let's just add a couple of quick little keyframing behaviors here. First of all let's just adjust the size, let's just do a Shift and a drag to make the text a little bit bigger. We'll move it up here and we'll just kind of drop it in slowly here, so let's go ahead and turn on Recording and let's turn the Opacity down just a little bit on this text. So we'll do that here in the Properties and we'll take the Opacity down to about here so we'll just kind of again fade it up gently, so we'll put a Keyframe there to set the Opacity. By the time we get about here in the project or as this text is coming on screen we want to have turned the Opacity all the way up to 100 percent, so that's where our next Keyframe is going to be added and in the meantime I'm going to Shift and drag so we'll change the positioning as well. So we'll just make a gentle mov down in a straight line, we'll change the Opacity as its being animated so again, our final effect is going to look something like this. Let's make the Project Pane go away, something like that. So there you have it. Let's look through this one more time. Let's make the Overlays go away, we'll do a Command and the forward /and we'll get an idea of what that'll look like. Now, I'll probably change this a little bit. I might extend that so that it's a freeze frame a little bit and let the Replicator fade out more gently, so we'll make a lot of additional fine-tuning adjustments, we ease that in probably to give it a little bit better fit and finish but you know we started with essentially a blank Canvas; we started with nothing and in very short order have created, from scratch, our very own customized, customizable Ð you can save this later on as a Template if we want to Ð but we have something that is our very own that we created, that can be used for a lot of different instances but one of those instances is, of course, a DVD Menu.
