Subtitles of the Movie

I hope you've enjoyed this series of video training on Aperture or if you're checking this out before you delve into the movie here's a little bit of information about me. I'm a freelance photographer and writer who specializes in Expressive Photography with an emphasis on nature. In addition I'm honored to say that I'm a member of the Aperture Advisory Panel and an Apple Certified Trainer for Aperture. I was given my first camera when I was about 6, shortly before my family went on vacation. It was probably part of a plan to keep me occupied and out of trouble and it worked well. It was the beginning of what was a wonderful hobby for many years and later became my profession. In college I earned a PHD in Psychology and practiced as a Clinical Psychologist for over 20 years both in private practice and university teaching. In mid-life an injury gave me time to reflect on some of my life choices and I realized I wanted to pursue photography as a career not just a hobby. Since then I've had the opportunity to learn from and work with many top pros. My photos have been showcased in calendars, galleries, magazines and books and my fine art images are in collections on several continents. In addition I've also done well in a number of International Photography Contests. In addition to concentrating on the photography side of the craft I also became an expert in digital software, including Photoshop and Aperture. As I worked with people and led workshops I realized that as the digital revolution occurred photography was no longer just what occurred in the field, but also about the digital darkroom. People needed a lot of help with the digital darkroom part of the craft. I co-authored Photoshop for Nature Photographers and then Photoshop CS3 for Nature Photographers and I'm honored to say that I'm currently working on the third edition of that book. In addition I co-authored the book Aperture Exposed, The Mac Photographers Guide to Taming the Workflow in 2006 with my son Josh. Currently I lead a few workshops each year, some photography based and some digital darkroom related. I'm a contributor to a variety of photography magazines and an active member of the North American Nature Photography Association for Napa, I'm an instructor for their high school scholarship program. I'm also a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals NAP and the American Society of Media Photographers, ASMP. Please check my website, www.ellenanon.com for more information or what I'm up to now. I hope you've enjoyed this series of movies on Aperture and I welcome your feedback at ellenanon@mac.com.
