Although Aperture is not a difficult program its always good to know where you can turn for more help. One place people often forget to turn to is the Help Menu. Apple provides a lot of good information for you in the Aperture User manual. You can explore it through the Table of Contents or you can type in a specific topic and it will automatically go to those pages or you can go down to the index which is actually what I do fairly frequently and look for the specific topic. I think you'll find that Aperture has spelled things out and gives very clear examples here, so you may well find the answer to your questions right in the Aperture User Manual itself. It's surprisingly usable. Also from the Help Menu you can access late breaking news information that they put out after the Aperture User Manual or information specifically about new features. Exploring Aperture is a PDF that has some good basic information, Keyboard Shortcuts is another PDF that is a great way to learn more about the shortcuts in Aperture. As you've seen, using the shortcuts can really improve your efficiency. If you click on Aperture Support you'll access a website and from that website you can get more information about software updates, some troubleshooting, you can access the Apple Discussions Forums that are specifically on Aperture and if you scroll down you can see the Aperture Quick Tours and the Quick Tutorials they provided on a number of subjects. It's really a lot of information that you can access if you're having trouble with Aperture or your Apple computer in general. There is some other sites that you may find even more helpful, inside Aperture which located at http: slash, slash digitalmedia.oreilly.com slash Aperture has a lot of different information. There are near daily blogs by a variety of photographers, myself included offering tips and thoughts about using Aperture and sometimes about Photography in general. In addition there are Podcasts with Joe Shore and their listed over here. Joe is the Apple Senior Product Manager; he offers valuable tips on using Aperture. Joe is one of the few people on earth who probably know all the shortcuts and features in Aperture. There are also articles on, Inside Aperture, that can be helpful resources. Another great site is the Aperture Users Network, although the URL is www.ApertureProfessional.com, it's not for professionals only. The site has a lot of information including blogs that offer a lot of tips, some of them are General Photography related interest and a lot are specific to Aperture. There are also articles and there are some impressive forums that are divided up into all different kinds of topics. You'll find that there are free ones for the Public Forum and then there are Member Only Forums etc, it's a lot of good information on this site. Lastly you're welcome to email me and ask for help. I try to respond promptly but sometimes if I'm on locations in an area without much internet it may take me awhile. My email is ellenanon@mac.com, I look forward to hearing from you especially with any feedback.
