It's important to become comfortable with your workspace especially how the workspace tools work in Anime Studio. With the workspace tools you have the ability to move and zoom and rotate and even view your workspace in a 3D view. And this in no way affects your actual animation. This is simply a way for you to look at your work from a different angle while working on it. So to get started let's first select the Pan Workspace Tool. Now placing your cursor somewhere on the canvas, hold down your left mouse button and drag around. You can see that you can move your canvas anywhere you wish. Now I prefer to use the right-click method for this. So let's say for instance you are using a tool like the Freehand Tool and you're drawing something. If you hold down your right mouse button and move around, you can also pan without having to go to the Pan Tool. This can be very useful and speed things up and it's the method that I prefer. But either way you can do one or the other. Next is the Zoom Workspace Tool. This allows us to as you would expect zoom into certain objects on the canvas especially if you're trying to draw something, maybe you want it really detailed and you need to zoom in, this is perfect for that. So with the Zoom Tool you can hold down your left mouse button and go left or right. If I go left it zooms out, if I go right it zooms in. Now again if you're using a different tool what you could do is use your wheel on your mouse, if you have a wheel on your mouse. You can simply scroll down to zoom in and scroll up to zoom out. And again that's the method I prefer because it is quicker. Now for the rotate you can rotate this just like that. Think of it as a piece of paper maybe you're drawing something and you kind of want to flip it to try to draw it a different way. You can definitely do that with the Rotate Canvas Tool. And just note that at any time you can hit Reset View on any of these tools to bring you back to the default view of the canvas. And finally there is the Orbit Tool. If we click this you can see that we have a 3D view of the canvas. And if we just hold down the left mouse button and scroll in like this we can get different views of the action. You can see that my cactus is outside of all the other elements and that's because it is actually closer to the camera with the Z properties. And this can give you an idea of how all that works and this purple thing right here is your camera. So that gives you an idea of exactly what everything is looking like. And the camera by that I mean you r actual camera for your animation and what you would use for your camera tools. And so that can give you an idea of where the camera's placed within the grand scheme of your scene. And of course with this you can also zoom in with your scrolling as well you can do more panning around like that if you wish. But it's important to get familiar with the workspace tools because they can be a great help especially with more complicated projects.
