The other Layer Tool and the final Layer Tool we'll be looking at is the Insert Text Tool. And this has seen a bit of upgrade. If you have used an earlier version of Anime Studio you may be familiar with the Text Tool being placed in the drawing section. However, it's actually now considered a layer because you can actually make a text layer. So let's click on the Insert Text Tool and a new screen will appear. And here you can enter in your text, adjust your font and so on. So first let's start by entering in some text. I'll just put, this is some text. Next we have the font and I'll probably just leave it on Arial Bold but you can choose whatever font you want on your computer. From there we can choose different styles if you have any installed in Anime Studio. But we can choose the fill color, the stroke color, the stroke width if we wish. You can choose to justify it left, right or center depending on how much text you have of course. And you can do the scaling here so we can scale this back, so we can kind of see what we're doing here in the Preview Window. And you can adjust other things like the leading kerning and you can even choose if you wish to create a text bubble. And this is new to Anime Studio version 9 but if you want to create a bubble you can do so and you have many options here to adjust just how the bubble looks and so on. So those are some options to play with. The big thing here to take away from this is the ability to create a text layer or a vector shape. Now in previous versions of Anime Studio whenever you made text it would be a vector shape. And so from there you could go in and adjust the points of the text. You could change the colors, you could basically do anything to it that you would any vector graphic. And that of course had it's advantages. The disadvantage was not being able to go back into the text and add more or delete stuff using the Text Editor. It became a bit cumbersome in that regard. Now with the text layer that you can create you don't have the ability to edit the points and paint it with the Paint Bucket Tool. But you can go back into the Text Editor, add more text, delete text, change the color and so on through those means. And so it basically just depends on what you want to do. In this case I'll choose to create a text layer and click OK. You can now see that on my Layers Panel I have a text layer indicated by a T. And we now have the text on screen. And if I ever need to go back into the text to add more text or to adjust it, I simply double-click on my layer and then go to the Text Tab. And then we're right back where we started. So that is how you use the new Text Tool in Anime Studio Pro 9.
