Subtitles of the Movie
Let's continue with our Slideshow Pro website, but to proceed, the content frame, all of those parameters are determined right here. Now, this feedback area, this is how to set up what the program looks like, or rather, what your gallery is going to look like as it is loading. I mean, that's how finitely you can govern things with this program. All of your appearances of your gallery, background color, nav active color, all of these parameters can be determined. Your header, you don't have to show the header if you don't want to. I think it looks better if you do, however. You can align the title, align the description. In fact, let's put that centered, just to see something different. Title font, change the font. Title color, let's call that I like let's call that red, let's call that fire truck red. I really like that red on black. I think that looks great. Or you can put the logo in there if you want and then the way that everything looks, how it arranges, spacing, title size, description size, padding. Then this will also, believe it or not, generate video. If you've got a video you want to place in a website, this will do it. Navigation, all of these parameters, icon color. Let's just go with green. You see how these little elements down here turned green? It looks kind of neat to have different colors on your website. Pop-ups, all of these parameters are located right here. Topography, extra effects. You can take off that wet floor effect. You see that down here? I'd have to hit Preview In Browser in order for you to see that. See how that little reflection right there makes it look like it's sitting on top of a wet surface? You can take that out if you want to. Wet Floor Depth, so let's just adjust all this stuff. There it is. Let's look how deep that goes. OK, Wet Floor Intensity increases the luminosity of the reflection. Image Information, Title, Caption. I think we need the title on these. Then you can edit, put your information right there, and then your output settings are all done right here. How large do you want your images to be? Adjust all of this. Thumbnail height. You can go in and adjust it on a slider basis. I think the sliders need to be a little bit larger I mean, rather, the thumbnails. We'll push the quality up to 100. I think that quality needs to be as high as it can possibly be. A little bit of sharpening in a Flash-generated website is a good thing. Normally I would say don't use Lightroom's sharpening algorithms, but for this particular application, because it's in a Flash environment, Flash tends to soften things. Why? I do not know, but it just tends to, so putting a little sharpening in is not necessarily a bad thing. Your transition length, your pause times, most of this is looking good. Playback, auto finish mode, content. That's on the Slideshow Options. Here's your audio, if you want to put audio in there. Here's your video standards. On your buffer time, make your buffer time don't be afraid to make that long because on some servers you never know when you're going to have a slow download or upload time and you want that buffer to be kind of long so that when your viewer is viewing the video, they won't have it interrupted. So more than one-tenth of a second needs to be in there. I would say, you know, put as much as 10 seconds. That's not too much. This is XML file paths. I know nothing about XML, so I'm not the guy to teach this particular little area in there. Director Publishing, on and on and on, and of course, the upload settings don't change. This will never change from one website to the other because uploading to your server is uploading to your server. It's one size fits all on those parameters. Now, again, as we have shown in previous lessons on this subject of uploading your website, you upload to the server or you export to a CD or you export to whatever other media you want to so that someone can look at it without it being on the Web or send it to somebody that will subsequently put it up for you, but that's how it works. I mean, you've seen the choices are unbelievable in Slideshow Pro. The only caveat with this, again, as we have seen, is it has a tendency to crash, especially if you're only using 2 gigs on your computer. So, for 25 bucks, Slideshow Pro, working in Lightroom, cannot be beat.
