Let us assume for a minute that all the lighting is correct and the composition is correct; you know this is the picture of the day, right here of the chapel in Yosemite Valley, and you have got an artifact in the image that just totally destroys your entire image. Do not freak out, it is okay. Now the Rangers, in their infinite wisdom, put this stupid radar warning device in front of the chapel. Never mind that you've got weddings in here all day, you've got people in and out taking pictures constantly of this hundred and fifty year old chapel that is in its original location. They put that there to get people to slow down. Indeed, people do need to slow down, but they could have picked any other place to put it. So don't worry, we are going to take it out. We are going to get rid of it completely and make it look like it was never there to begin with. All you really need is the clone stamp tool for this operation, so I am going to begin thusly. We got all these trees, all this foliage to choose from, so be liberal, let us choose from over here, though. You want to pick an area that is away. In other words, sample away because we are going to be moving around in here quite a bit and we need latitude to move and bring stuff in. You know this does not look quite right, we are going to pull all the way to over there, the colors and the density are too contrasting. When we get down to this area, at the bottom of the bush, then we sample from over here to the grass. We definitely need to clean this up, go way out here bring this stretch of grass out so that it looks contiguous, then we go over to here and try to blend this together in just a certain way. I think it is going to make it, it is going to work. We can do other things, let us just go ahead. You do not have to do this, but while we are sitting here, let just fill in this gap in the bush, it looks better. I ask you, what happened to that radar warning thing? Can you tell it was ever there before? No, it's a much-improved shot now. Obviously the before and after is going to be before and after. Before and after. Good use of the clone stamp tool. Do not worry about it, go out and take your picture. You know later you can get rid of whatever is in the image that you don't like.
