Using Bridge / Review Mode
Subtitles of the Movie
In CS4, Bridge added a new review mode to make selecting images easier. In some ways it's like a slideshow in which you can add labels or ratings as well as reject images quickly. The images are shown on a clean background. To begin, I'm going to select all the images that are in this folder but you can select as many or as few as you'd like to review. Then I'll come up to the Refine Icon and choose Review Mode. Note that you could also use the shortcut Control or Command B. If you selected more than four images, the images appear as sort of a carousel. You can use the arrows over here or on your keyboard to progress through the various images, advancing them one at a time. If you see one that you don't care for, click the Down Arrow and it will remove it from consideration. That won't delete it, but it will simply remove it from the ones that you're currently reviewing. You can also add ratings to your images while in Review Mode. You can use the number keys to add stars in the usual way or click on the little dots. In addition, you can use the number keys to add or remove labels. If you come to an image that you would like to reject, you can press the Alt or Option key plus the Delete Key and label it as a rejected image. You can't completely delete from within Review Mode, but you can reject the images. Let's drop that from consideration and come back here and drop this one and now we have just four images left and you can see that they appear altogether sharing the screen. If you would like to make these images into a collection, then simply press the New Collection Icon and they'll all be placed in a collection for you. If you'd like to check any image for sharpness at a hundred percent magnification, click on the Magnification Icon to get the Loop and then drag it where you'd like it. Click in the black area to remove it. Click on any of the images and then click the Loop Icon to get the Magnification Tool. Click X or the Escape Key on your computer to exit Review Mode. Review Mode is surprising useful at helping you decide which of several images is best and for helping you view a group of images. It can also be a way to present images to friends or clients.
