OK, so far we created a brand New Action on our own. I just want to make a little side note that if you wanted to you can also save inside of your action so that when the action is performed, it too will save. But I typically don't do that because I often want to change the file format, or change my mind as to where I want to save it when the action is performed. So typically I leave that alone. Alright, like the other Action we can twirl it up if we want to and we can add other Actions inside of this Debris Folder. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to open up a different image, once again from PhotoSpin, of another twister. So I'm going to click on the Debris Folder and I want to show you something. If I go down here to Play, it's disabled. You can't play an action from the folder itself. You have to choose the Action inside of the Action Set. So I'm going to click on Debris now and now I'll be able to play this. I'm going to press Play and just like that, in about one second it has applied this effect to this image. How cool is that? But, before I'm done, I also want to show you how we can batch this effect onto a folder. On my Desktop I have a folder containing two other images of surfing. So I'm going to just show you here what these look like. So I have this surfer here and this wave. So what I'm going to do is apply this same Action at the same time by Batching that from Photoshop. So I'm going to go to File, Automate, Batch. Photoshop is pretty smart and it keeps track of what you're doing so it has a good idea that you want to batch whatever you had selected, which was our action. Notice that it has a Set selected for us, and it also has the correct Action selected. But of course you can always change this. You can go to Default Actions and you can choose from that list. I'll go back to the Set I created, and here is the only Action inside of it, which is why it automatically shows up. Now, the Source for this is going to be the folder that I currently have, so I'm going to go to Folder, and I'm going to choose that folder, which is the one on the Desktop. So here's Surfing, and I'll choose that one by clicking Choose on the bottom, and the Destination I'll go ahead and give it a different folder, so I'll choose and on my Desktop I will create a brand New Folder called Surf Debris, and that's where I want the finished result to go. So I'll click OK, and then Photoshop's already done, so I'm already in that folder and I can choose to save it as a different format if I want to. So I'm going to leave it as it is and click Save. And here's the first one, and here's the second one, and I'll Save it again, and as you can see there the Action has been applied. I'm going to go to the Desktop again, go into that Surf Debris Folder and I'll show you the result. So you can easily add an action and then batch it onto a whole range of images and then save them in different File Formats, such as JPEGs, TIFFs, GIFs, and the like.
