Well this is the portion of the tutorial in which they want me to say something about myself so you won't mind if I say that it feels alittle like show and tell right now truth be known. But I was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, that's all the North Carolina Tarheel imagery in my sports portfolio, but I've lived in Fresno, California for 28 years. At the time I moved here I was in the radio business and when I got to Fresno I went up to Yosemite National Park and that was that. I've been here ever since and in the intervening 28 years I think I've amassed somewhere in the neighborhood of 200,000 images of Yosemite and Sierra. I spend about 120 days a year in the park and as you might guess it's my favorite place in the world, second only to Chapel Hill. I immediately started incorporating my photography into my visits to Yosemite and there are very few the areas in the park that I have not photographed in all seasons. I also shoot sports for CalSport Media and have been published in Sports Illustrated, ESPN the Magazine, ESPN.com and other sports publications. I sell my work on the Internet and I also run an informational website on Yosemite National Park called YosemiteFund.com. Now this site has evolved into one of the most comprehensive and accurate sites on Yosemite, with 50,000 unique visitors per month. I also run Photography workshops in Yosemite and Sequoia National parks and am a member of the board of directors of the High Sierra Volunteer Trail Crew, a volunteer backpacking trail maintenance group based in Fresno. If you want more information on the trail crew, go to trailcrew.org and if you want to have a whale of a good time up in the mountains with somebody else doing all the cooking please join us, we can use all the help we can get. So obviously I'm the chief photography for that organization as well. So I hope you've learned something here, please feel free to email me at phil.hawkins@sbcglobal.net and if you have any questions or suggestions or updates please be in touch. Thanks again, thanks for looking and we'll see you next time.
