Let's take a look at some of the magazines I read on pretty much a monthly basis. Now these magazines in some instances are from England and they're a little costly because of the you know the taxes and the import tariffs and all that other fun stuff they have to do when they bring a magazine from another country over here. But you know you can write these things off if you are doing a freelance work or you work with Photoshop professionally. So keep your receipts, keep your receipts. Now anyway the first magazine I want to talk about is of course Photoshop User provided by the National Association of Photoshop professionals which I'm a member of and I would recommend that you join this because you get the magazine as a part of your membership so it's a win, win situation and the magazine is phenomenal. It has great tips and tricks, news about what's going on in the industry, and you know you can just find out all kinds of great stuff, so definitely check out Photoshop User its available in your favorite book store but if you really want to have it delivered to your door join the NAP so just go to Photoshop User.com check that out. Another great magazine this one is from Europe as I mentioned earlier this one's called Advanced Photoshop and it's a good magazine its about fifteen bucks it comes with a CD with demo software and all kind of resources for you and it's a phenomenal magazine. So check it out I'll click here to enter the site so we can see what is going on with the wonderful world of Advanced Photoshop UK. And we'll give this a couple of seconds to load and as you can see you can find out more about the magazine and you can you know definitely check out some of the issues. They're also located in some of the larger bookstores such as Barnes and Nobles and Borders, I'm on the east coast so I'm not sure what bookstores you guys have where you are but definitely check that out. It's a good, good magazine, great tutorials. We also have Photoshop Creative another great magazine for tutorials and tips and tricks. I pick this up whenever I can as well and these magazines do add up and uh you know what I also uh suggest you do is if you plan on buying these magazines on a monthly basis either subscribe to them or get that little discount card from your favorite bookstore because it will pay off in the long run. I also get Computer Arts from time to time and there's a lot of tutorials in here not only on Photoshop but other Creative applications so it's a great magazine as well. Once again it's from Europe it's pricey, it's about fifteen bucks just like Photoshop Creative and Advanced Photoshop. Photoshop User's about ten bucks, I think nine ninety five. Another great magazine I get every single month without fail is Imagine Effects. This magazine motivates me more than anything else because the artwork is just ridiculous. It's just good stuff, lot of great tutorials, workshops, DVD comes with it. It has some software on it, it has resources on there, it's my favorite thing on the planet earth next to my coffee. And last but not least we have Cinefex now this doesn't necessarily deal with Photoshop per se. It deals with special effects and of course you know that Photoshop is used in pretty much every industry on the planet except for in shoe stores unless they find out a way to use Photoshop to airbrush those shoes in the store. But this is a good magazine you can find out how movies are made, how the special effects are made, and once again this magazine is pretty much for inspiration. We also have to remember that when you watch a movie like King Kong or Star Wars or any of these movies nine times out of ten the textures are painted in Photoshop anyway. So Check out Cinefex every once in a while and pick up a couple of issues of that. So these are some of the magazines that I recommend you guys check out. Of course pick up any magazine that's gonna deal with creativity, artwork, three D or whatever that would really motivate you and get your creative juices flowing.
