If you enjoy handing out photographs to people of your family, friends or vacations, then Picture Package is right up your alley. It's located right here under the file menu, under the automate menu right here. It's called Picture Package and what it will do for you is allow you to choose a layout in a similar fashion, uh, as you would find when you go to the department stores. So if you were to take family and sit down and say cheese and all that kind of fun stuff and then, you know, wait a couple of days and then go to the store and pick up this package or have it mailed to you, you'll find that you can do the same exact thing in Photoshop. And once again, you can choose from a layout depending on how many images you want to cut out or give out and then you can then choose to print these out on photographic paper or any kind of paper actually. So as you see here, I'm choosing, uh, two 5x7s, so I have two 5x7s. I can also choose one 5x7 and a couple of wallet size and a couple of these little other sizes. I never did know what to do with these really, really tiny pictures. I've always put them behind my desk and just hide them under books and stuff because where do they go? They don't fit in any frame I can find. I can also choose the resolution and if you're going to print, 300 is going to give you a nice quality. And what you can also do is enable or disable this flatten all layers so that your picture package will give you your file in one sheet or you can have it in separate layers so you can continue to manipulate it. You can also choose to put your own custom text. You can choose file name, copyright information, all kinds of other options that you can use as a label. And if you want to accept the way it is, you can choose to, by the way, choose a source as well. So you can choose to use the foremost document or the front most document, which I have open already in Photoshop but you don't see right now. I can also choose a folder. I can also choose a file. And then choose the file that I want to use. But I'm going to use the front most document and I'm going to click OK. And in just a moment, which, after Photoshop gives you the light show that we're all familiar with by now, we'll have our sheet of paper that has all of our photographs ready to print and ready for us to take out our Exacto Knife to cut out and give out to people. So we'll wait a couple of moments for this to complete. I'm going to go to my layers and as you see here, I have one sheet of paper and I can cut that out. Now, I'm going to show you something else as well. Um, you might want to use this to show people different pieces of your artwork and you don't want just one picture on the picture package itself. You might want to have various images. So what you can do is you can click on any of these images here and substitute. So I'm going to go to my desktop and go to my trip folder and choose another image and that image will be swapped in for me. I can also go ahead and choose a little bit more obvious, uh, file size here. I'll go to four 5x5s here. And I'm going to click one of these guys and once again, I'll choose a different photograph. And I'll click here again and I'll choose yet a different photograph. So I'm going to go ahead and select another one. And once I have all the images that I want for this photo package, I can now click OK once again and Photoshop will generate a new photo sheet for me to print out. So once again, the Picture Package is really a time saver, especially for people who have a printer that is capable of printing photo-quality paper and you want to cut them out, give them to people at a party or at an event. So once again, Photoshop is becoming more and more automated in allowing you, the user, to do more and more things without having to rely on outside sources.
