Well the first step in an image like this is to collect all the pieces. So I'm going to start by finding my flower image, and here's my flower. And what I need to do is select the flower. Ok, well what am I going to do is, you can see I actually have a mask here. It would be easy enough to load it, but I'm going to show you how I did select it. I went to select menu>color range. I'm just going to drag over this yellow here, and I am going to click on the eyedropper tool with the plus next to it to add to the color range that it is going to try to select. And I might increase my fuzziness a bit, and that looks pretty good. So there is my flower, I'm going to copy it (command + 'C' or control + 'C' on a PC) to the clipboard and go to this image, which is my background and paste. Here is my trusty snail, and I actually created this path using the pen tool, created this path around my snail, and what I'm going to do is simply load this path as a selection. And a quick way you can do that is command + click right on the thumbnail. And notice how the little hand cursor changes to have a marquee icon around it. So that's command + click - simply loads that path as a selection, or control + click on the PC. Copy that to the clipboard, and go back to my image that's going to be the basis of this collage, and paste the snail. And I did a very similar thing for my cows. I created a selection for my cow, and actually saved it as a mask channel. So I'm just going ahead and command + click on my mask channel, which will load that as a selection. And copy this to the clipboard. And now I have all my pieces for the image.
