Subtitles of the Movie

There are a handful of new features and enhancements in Adobe Photoshop 7. One of the coolest new features is the addition of the file browser. This came with Adobe elements and it's a nice addition to Photoshop. You can get it under the file menu, choose browse, and I'll be talking about this in its own movie. And you can see what the file browser does; essentially it gives you a graphic preview of all your images. And this is very helpful for someone such as myself who takes many pictures with the digital camera, where very often they do not have preview. And Photoshop will build a preview image on the fly with the file browser. There are several enhancements for web output, and those are essentially found in Image-ready. Image-ready is the stand-alone image application designed specifically for web graphics. And I'll be touching on ImageReady a little bit in these setup tutorials. However, VTC has it's own complete tutorial on ImageReady. We can also save tool presets and workspace presets, which is a nice feature. So if you have a certain way of working we can save those on to the window menu workspace, and we can save any type of workspace arrangement by choosing one of those options. There are enhanced type tools and spell checking. And you can see with my character on paragraph palette up we have some additional features here, such as the faux bolding and italicizing, as well as choosing from a particular type of dictionary for spell checking. A very nice feature; we can do spell checking in Photoshop now. And under the paragraph palette we have various options that you would normally find in a dedicated page layout program such as Adobe InDesign. Photoshop has a much-improved brushing engine and brushing selections. If we click on brush, I can click on this tool right here and it'll bring up the brushes palette. And you can see that the brushes palette is much more expanded now, allowing us to take advantage of many different options to really customize a way we might want a brush to look. And of course I'll be talking about that in it's own tutorial. Another feature I want to draw your attention to is this hanging punctuation. This is a feature that you can invoke in the paragraph palette. We can choose hanging Roman punctuation, and that will allow punctuations to hang outside of a paragraph text. Photoshop7 has improved the PDF output. You can now ensure certain security features with your PDF documents directly from within Adobe Photoshop. And the last thing I want to draw your attention to is the liquefy filter. If you are a fan of the liquefy effect, there are a handful of additions to that. And you find that under the filter menu, liquefy, and it brings up the liquefy interface allowing us to create all sorts of cool distortion effects.
