Truthfully, there are too many filters for me to really demonstrate each and every one of them. So I recommend that you just try them out and see what some of these filters do, and what kind of effects they create. But I did want to share with you one extra tip. And that is, sometimes when I am working with filters, particularly if I have an object on a transparent layer, what I'll do is I'll copy this layer, and I'll work on a copy. And that way I can always get rid of the filter effect by throwing away the layer, but I can also mix the filtered and unfiltered image with a layer mask. So here's my copy of the snail. Go to the filter menu and I'll choose pixelate and crystallize. And it brings up this dialogue box, this interesting effect. And now if I wanted to get back to an unfiltered look for part of my snail here, what I might to do is add a layer mask. And then paint with black to paint back my unfiltered snail.
