You can import vector-based logos by choosing the place command. Under file menu choose place and it will bring up this open dialogue box, asking you to go find a vector based graphic to place. I'm going to have some graphics in my logos folder here. And I'm going to place my logo, so with it selected I'll just click place. And what Photoshop does is it places a low-resolution proxy with handlebars around it, so that I can resize this before it is rasterized at the image's resolution. So notice since this is a vector based logo, I can of course reposition it by clicking and dragging anywhere inside the bounding box. I can also go to one of the corner handlebars and drag in while holding the shift key to maintain the proportions. And if I wish I could also rotate it at this point, by going outside of the handlebars. And notice that my cursor turns into the double-headed rounded arrow cursor. Meaning that I can click and drag to rotate this vector based graphic. Well, when you get it the way you want it just right, all you need to do is double click inside or you could also hit the enter key, or you can also click on the check box in the upper right hand corner, if you've not already rasterized it to its final resolution. Now my vector-based logo has been turned into pixels. And if we zoomed in you can see that it has been rasterized at the resolution of my image. And the text is very sharp indeed.
