Now the fun part, we're going to add an image, a photograph up here in the top left-hand corner. First of all I'm going to select these two cells and Merge them. And I think I do want it a little bit bigger like that, so that it just fits in there. I'll bring in my image that I've got ready; I'll open Bridge and I've got the Golden Gate Bridge here, I'll just drop it on the page. Now, you can't drop it on top of the cell and have it go in there. That just doesn't work, so let me delete that. Now, the way to do it in its simplest form is to Cut or Copy. I'll just Copy it here, come over with the Text Tool, and paste it in Ð Control or Command V, like that Ð but things go all over the place. It doesn't really work very well. So, I'm going to Undo that. The secret as I find it is to resize this till it fits the space approximately, and it's always a little bit smaller. So, I'll just zoom it in down like that, and maybe I'll just crop it in a little bit. We can resize it once we get it in here, but it's best to start off just a tad smaller, like that. That's about the right size to start with, so let me Cut this. Control or Command X, and I'll get my Text Tool and just click in this cell and paste it in. This is basically an inline graphic. Control or Command V, like that. Now it went in a lot nicer then, it's just not exactly the way we want it. So, one thing we've got to remember is how the padding all around the cell works. If I hit Escape to select the cell and come over to my Tables Panel here, you can see that we've got this default point 0556 padding all around on all four sides, and that's why you're always going to have this white space around it. So, in this particular case, when you're putting in the graph, set it to zero on all sides like that. Now, I'll click away and there we have the graphic. I can resize it Ð I'm holding down Shift Control, or Shift Command Ð drag it up like that, and there we've got it. Now sometimes you may have a little bit of a problem with white areas showing. It's not perfect, and the way I deal with that is just select the adjacent column or cell and make sure it has the exact same background color; I'll just choose black, like that, and that way if there is a little white space here it'll take the fill of black of the adjacent cell so it won't look too bad. Let me zoom out Ð Control or Command Minus a couple times like that Ð and there we have the Table. It looks pretty good at the moment. Let's take a look at our original up there, pretty much the same, a few little minor formatting differences. This here text was a little bit bigger, so we'll just make it a little bit bigger like that, there we go, and we can resize it. When you're resizing a table Ð I'll just move this in so it's close to the same size Ð it's like resizing any other graphic. Hold down Control or Command Shift, press down, drag like that, and it resizes. It's important, as usual, to hold down Control or Command Shift before you start doing it, and then resize it. Now the Shift key, remember, keeps it proportional, so if I were just to hold down the Control or Command key I could resize it like that where it's disproportional Ð I'll Undo that Ð but that's something you don't normally want to do, especially on something like this: Control or Command Shift, resize it, and it all resizes proportionally. And that's a much nicer table than you'll ever get out of Excel or Word.
