Hey everybody I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on how to use Illustrator CS5. In my opinion the best version of Illustrator so far. We covered many of the new tools and features and I hope your mind was just as blown as mine was. Some of the things we talked about of course are things like the New Bristle Brush which lets us paint natural media, the Shape Builder Tool which lets us create Symbols very easily and we also talked about the unbelievable Perspective Tool. We talked about some of the new things like the Anti-aliasing of the type and the pixel grid alignment. There are so many new features that its really mind boggling. We also did a couple of really cool projects. We started off with a pretty basic project, the Meck Logo for you guys who are completely new Illustrator and may never have done anything in the application as far as a complete project and to take it to another level we did a couple of different versions and we explored together to create some cool stuff. We also created a Menu so we took some sketches, we used the Blob Brush to create a squiggly line, alternatively I showed you guys how to use the Pen Tool if you want use that instead. We dropped in some textures, some text and we just thought about the arrangement so that it wouldn't be boring and symmetrical. Last but not least we did the Diner Project which was pretty much the most challenging one out of the three where we spent a good deal of time talking about how to create artwork by reusing some of the things that we have here already, instead of reinventing the wheel all the time. We also talked about strategy, how do use the Pen Tool, how to think ahead of the game as far as where you need to click and how you need to set-up the next point you're going to draw and also speaking of strategy, how to create shapes like this based on overlapping shapes and using things like the Pathfinder Tool. So on behalf of Virtual Training Company, my name is Dwayne Ferguson I will see you next time, take care.
